  • Cardiac arrest differs from heart attacks, with various potential causes. Post-COVID-19 hospitalization involving multiple medications and oxygen requirements may increase the risk of cardiac arrest more than vaccinations. Common risk factors in Indian individuals aged 30-45 include active smoking, binge alcohol consumption, family history of sudden cardiac arrest, congenital heart defects, and channelopathies.

Dr. Ranga Reddy completed his MBBS from Christian Medical College, Vellore and MD in General Medicine from Mahatma Gandhi Medical College , Pondicherry and DM, (Cardiology) from Sri Ramachandra Medical College, Chennai. Currently he is working as consultant interventional cardiologist, Apollo hospitals,jubilee hills Hyderabad. He published several papers in various international journals. He has teaching exposure in Internal Medicine and Cardiology at MGMC Pondicherry and is involved since 2017 in teaching Cardiology for DNB Candidates. In the last few years, he has done complex angioplasties including Left Main, TVDs, Bifurcations, CTOs and Primary Angioplasty. Dr. Ranga Reddy has special interest in Carotid ,Peripheral ,Endovascular and structural Interventions.
