Participants will gain hands-on experience in cutting-edge procedures such as diagnostic and therapeutic bronchoscopy, thoracoscopy, cryotherapy, and tracheostomy. Specialized training in advanced techniques like endobronchial ultrasound, airway stenting, and balloon dilation is included. The fellowship also covers anesthesia techniques critical for interventional pulmonology, including jet ventilation and double-lumen endotracheal tube placement.
Fellows will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, managing outpatient clinics, inpatient cases, and night calls in the MICU. The fellowship also includes training in the latest innovations, such as bronchial thermoplasty and endobronchial valve placement for conditions like severe asthma and emphysema. They will also participate in Apollo Simulation Centre training to refine their procedural skills in a controlled environment.
